One Happy Mama

Over this last weekend we had a yard sale. I went through a lot of my house last week and gathered boxes of stuff that I knew I could live without. (I won't say ALL of my house, b/c that just can't be done in a week) Anyway, in one of these boxes was a large stack of baby gift bags that I had collected from all the showers and gifts I was given after my son was born. I thought I am never gonna use all these so I put them out in the sale. I guess I should have perused the box a little further b/c when my neighbor came over to check out all of our "stuff", she pulls out these scrapbook pages that I did when my son was about a month old. I said, "Oh my gosh" I thought I lost those" and she brought them straight over to me and I gushed over them, like they were some great treasure. BUT if you knew the story behind all of this you would understand my full joy and excitement of finding my lost "treasure's." Although, I'm sure that anybody with children would understand what it's like to find old pictures... here's my story and I'm sticking to it. :-)

Well, when my son was about 9 months old we had some major computer problems. I had been, well maybe you could say ignorant, about how you needed to save pictures on cd. I just never thought I would be without them. Can we blame it on being a new mother and simply being in my own little bliss?... plus all of the health issues we were dealing with Josiah did not help things. So anyway... enough about me... Needless to say, we lost all of our baby pictures! ALL OF THEM! From when I was pregnant, the hospital and newborn pictures... yep, basically all of them. I was completely devastated. I had printed several pictures on my home printer however and I cherish those pictures now, b/c it's all I have left. I have been thankful for the family that has pictures to share with me. Thank goodness for being close with family!
Anyway, when Josiah was a month old, I went to a scrapbook party in which I created 2 scrapbook pages. (One shown below) Since the "loss" happened I had been searching my house for any and all pictures I had left... and had come the conclusion that these 2 pages were gone forever. So fast forward to Saturday....(zip).... my neighbor, Lorraine, pulls out these 2 pages and says "I don't think you want to sell these?"
"Yay!" What has been lost, is now found!
It is a good day!
Today, I could die a happy mama!
