Finally!

I was able to pick some blueberries while my beautiful son lay napping in his bed on Satuday. It was quite warm outside so the blueberries just fell off the bush into my hands. I thought the whole time while I was picking that I had to enjoy each moment becuase next year I will not have this opportunity. It makes me sad, mostly becuase my son loves to go graze by the bushes with me. We eat until our mouths turn blue and then stick out our tongues and laugh at one another. It's really quite the site! Oh, but we will always have the memories of this summer.

Anyway, I picked about 2 cups of berries and came inside and gave them a good rinse, then set to work mixing up my cake. It was really quite easy. Cake layer then blueberries and the crumble top. Then, comes the smell while it bakes. Oh, the smell! It makes for a good ambience for potential home buyers that come to look at the house. :-)

So to answer the question on your mind after looking at the picture...
YES, it certainly does taste as good as it looks! :-)
I mean just look at that perfect browning on top... :-) lol
