Our house is officially "on the market" starting today!
It's a sad thing and exciting all at once. I am looking forward to moving on and starting a new chapter now that we talk about it more, but it's also very scary considering all this will do to Josiah. But I hear that kids are very resilient so I will hope mine is too.
I am so tired from all the cleaning(very vague, I know), picking up toys, painting, picking up more toys, and packing boxes of stuff to go to goodwill and then pick up some more toys. Anyone with a toddler will understand that. :-) It has really taken a lot of work to get our home ready to sell. Wow, it's like this never-ending list that seems to get longer instead of shorter. Even though I check stuff off it all day long, something else takes it place and then some. Like today the back yard needs to be addressed... or shall I say cleaned up. There are balls, toys, lawn instruments, pine cones, and very long grass just waiting to be mowed by some loving home-owner. :-) AND like I need to add to that list, but here it goes... I have blueberries finally come ripe that are calling my name, that need to be picked.
Ok question for today. Ready?
Just how clean does one's house have to be when selling the home?
Now, think about that... Of course, dishes done, somewhat clean floors, toys picked up, no clutter piles(visible), no underwear on the floor, (sorry just had to get that in there too), no smelly trash in house, clean bathrooms.
What I'm asking is, mopping every day? Uh, yeah right. I'll be doing good if I can sweep.
Vacuum every day? probably and will try to, especially with messy dog and toddler in house
What do you think?

Oooh! Pick me! I can answer this one! LOL, I just had my house on the market and I kept my house really clean and neat. You only get one chance to make a first impression, cliche, but true. I would usually do a major "pick-up" right before the people were supposed to arrive. It is very annoying and stressful, I must admit!
Good luck!
