A beautiful Lunch

One perk of working in Carmel is that it is right on the ocean and there is a beach about 5 blocks down the hill from my office.
It was about 72 degrees today, so I took my lunch to the beach to eat. After sitting and eating... all the while being watched by several little squirels. They were so cute, they kept popping out a bush that I was sitting beside. Anyway, after eating I finally made up my mind that I wanted to walk down the beach some more and get my feet in the water since it was so warm outside. One small problem with this idea was that I was in my black skirt and white blouse (work outfit) and nylons. Ick... mental note... sand in panty hose does not feel good! So I ventured to the restroom on the beach and peeled off my panty hose... I almost did this while still on the beach but being brought up WITH modesty I chose the restroom for privacy. :-) Aren't you glad? Me too, since only about 3 blocks away in Pebble Beach there is a huge Golf Tournament happening this week and several of the players and spectators had made there way to the beach for lunch as well. (AT&T Celebrity Golf Tournament) I was really hoping that I might meet somebody cool this week, but the week is not over yet. Oops I got off track... Sorry... :-)
Anyway, I was not alone on the beach of course, it was a gorgeous day and we all had the same idea for lunch. I finally made my way down to the water. I walked along with the waves hitting legs and felt the sand between my toes. I thought to myself how blessed I am to be able to take my lunch break and just walk down the street to a beautiful beach and lose myself in God's creation. What a perfect place not only for quiet time but for prayer time! I had a wonderful lunch and then walked back up the hill to work and back to the grind.
Blessing to all!

I am glad you've found a place of refuge in this new place in your life. Of course, I am jealous! I miss you!
