Our camping trip
Our family went on a camping trip to the Oregon Coast the last weekend of July. We had a fabulous time. The baby slept very well the first night but the second night the rain kept waking him up. Made for a rough start to the morning but it was nothing that a little bit of mommy's yummy camp toast can't fix. And then the rain stopped by 9am, that helped too. Saturday was a beautiful day for the Oregon Coast, about 70 degrees, and Josiah ran through water with daddy close by. Jacob even put his little feet in the ocean as seen in the previous post's video. He was such a good baby and Josiah has been a really great big brother. Overall it was a wonderful trip filled with lots of good memories of our family's first trip with Jacob.
Last weekend we spent re-arranging our furniture in our front rooms. Wow, there sure is a lot to do yet, but at least the front room is a little more live-able. I even unpacked a few boxes. WOW! I know I am impressed too. My kitchen is all unpacked now and mostly functional, I say mostly because there is still some re-arranging of dishes still to do. I did manage to organize the boys' room some. We still have to set up the crib though. My room is still a crazy mess but one of the most important things got unpacked... my cookbooks! Yay!
Tonight we are off to spend an evening with our neighbors to celebrate national night out at our local park (5 blocks away). The neighborhood association is providing the hamburgers and hot dogs and the neighbors or responsible for the rest. I am bringing brownies. Should be a fun evening. Take care and blessings to you all.

Good for you guys! I know it must be a relief to get some things unpacked and get all nested in. Believe me, I know all to well for soon I will be in the same boat. At least I will be moving just ten feet in the backyard!!!
I love ya lady!

Have you shown that picture of the 3 of "your boys" to Mom & Dad? I can't believe how much Jacob looks like Jonny's baby pictures in that picture!
Glad POrtland has truly been coming home and all the blessings that go along w/ it.
