This last week we celebrated our 14th anniversary on the beach, camping with our kids. We spent our first 9 years together without kids and desperately trying to have one, so now when we celebrate it seems silly to celebrate without them. Granted we do like to get away from them on occasion and be alone (although I have no idea what to do with my arms when we do, they just seem so empty). Anyway, we decided this year since the baby was still too young to spend the night with anyone still, we would do a family trip to celebrate our life together, all four of us.
We had the most fabulous time. We were greeted with a rainbow when we arrived at the campground, (which in turn all the rain clouds blew away and the sky was clear for 5 hrs!), and we left the beach 2 days later eating our dinner on the grass in Oceanside watching the sun go down and the most beautiful sunset we have seen in some time. God really blessed our family with some very memorable moments, like dancing and singing around the campfire, and taking long walks on the beach looking for monsterous agates, but most of all we celebrated our love for each other and took time to remember that day 14 years when we exchanged our vows and marveled at how far we have come and realized we love each other more today than we did that day so many years ago when we felt our hearts could not get any fuller. Oh how we were wrong! God has truly blessed us over and over and we are so thankful!
Blessings to you all!
