Here are a few pictures of our spontaneous drive up to Henry Coe State Park this morning. Here in the bay area it is "big news" for the mountain-tops to get snow so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. It was a beautiful drive up in the mountains through oak forests to grand views of the valleys south of San Jose. We made it all the way up only to see some small piles of snow here and there that had not melted yet. We took a short walk through the woods to see more snow. It was a bit nippy, with quite a cool breeze but it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. Josiah had the most fun kicking pine cones and rocks down the steep embankment that we walked beside. He would watch them roll down the hill and cheer "yay" when it hit bottom and ceased movement. On our drive up we saw 3 young bobcat's on the side of the road, it was really cool. But in my process of trying to look at them and then grab the camera behind the seat in the backpack and then trying to turn the thing on... well let's say I got some good pictures of the inside of the truck door and a little bit of trees outside. :-) Isn't that the way life goes?

It has been a good week. Jonny has had some good news in a job search. He was able to work with the local floor covering shop for 2 days, so we have some income from that. He also interviewed with a company who contracts their employees to work in Home Depot's to work in certain deptartments or areas. This would be to work in construction dept. The interview went very well and they said he would hear either way within a week or so. They called the very next day to see if he would go in for the drug testing. So that is really good news... We are not sure at all if that means that they will hire him, but hopefully we will hear by the middle to end of next week.
I had a good week at work. I am starting to learn more and more about real estate transactions and how a real estate office runs. It has been interesting working with so many different personalities. I was assisting the owner on a inventory list of a new location that he bought, on Thursday of this week and I finished my work very early. My boss was very impressed and told me that I had worked hard enough and I could go early today. WOW, you don't have to tell me twice, I thanked him profusely and came home to lovely family. Jonny, Josiah and I went to a nearby pond and fed some ducks then went to Walmart with my sis and her 2 kids. We bought some food for dinner and other various items, and headed back to sister's house. I made the most fabulous burgers I have ever made! Guacamole, Bacon, Cheeseburgers! WOW, they were good. Yep, I even made the guacamole. And the burgers were a mix of buffalo and ground sirloin with onions and garlic mixed in. YUMM-O!
I hope that you all were blessed with a good week as well. Blessings to all!( Hey Dad...This snow is cold!)

What pretty scenery that surrounds you! I am glad for the blessings that are coming your way. Getting to go home early, Jonny getting work and the possibilities of a permanant job is a gift. The burgers sound awesome!
Ok, I could handle the snow, the cool news about Jonny's work was even better. But when you got to the burgers. That was all I could take. Next time I come for a visit
