How does your garden grow?

If I had to pick one word for how my garden grew, it would be slowly! :-) Our spring and summer have been unusually chilly and rainy. My blueberries are normally ready around the 4th of July and it's nearly the middle of July and there are hardly 5 ripe berries out there! I'm not sure what you call this kind of year, El Nino or El Nina, but whatever it is.... bad Nino or Nina. :-)

Here is a list of the problems with my garden, however pretty it might look...
*I have ants... no seriously, they are everywhere!
*And I have worms on some of the lettuce. It's really nasty to unfold a leaf and find a green little worm in there. Just ask Josiah how loud mommy can scream when she finds one... :-)
*And my poor pepper plants are being overshadowed by the brocoli. Of which, seems to be growing quite magnificently considering there is something eating it's leaves as well.
*But my Walla Walla Onions seem to be stuck in their growth. The plants are maybe about 8-10 inches tall and now they are stumped.
*My tomatoes, that I started from seed I might add :-), are finally starting to flower out. No tomatoes as of yet though... Lots of flowers though.
*And I have about 5 or 6 zuchinni set on, but they seem to have stopped in their growth as well. They are about 3 inches long and not growing.... ugh They are a good color though and the plant looks very healthy.

In my household we have chosen to live organically, to some extent anyway. So, I don't like to use chemicals on my garden, so if you all have any really great ideas on how to deal with any of these problems I would appreciate any advice. :-)
Well maybe my problem in simply impatience. :-) Wouldn't be the first time. :-)
