Home Sweet Home

In my few spare minutes that I get so rarely, (both kids are actually sleeping!) I thought I would update my sad little blog. I so rarely get here anymore because things have been so hectic with trying to find a home and then get moved into it, wow, I can't believe another month has passed already. Jacob is nearly 5 months old now and we (just the 4 of us) finally have our own home since I was 4 1/2 months pregnant with him! Wow, it has been a long time but it is so good to be a family now! :-)

We live in NE Portland now and are so happy with our new neighborhood. We are just renting for now as we get ourselves settled back into the area, and figure out where we settle for long term. Here is a picture of our home.

Last weekend when my sister and her kids were staying with us, and my youngest sister and her boyfriend were in town, we all went to the zoo. It was so much fun. It was pretty warm that day, and at times kinda hot, but we started our day early (9am actually) and left a couple hours after lunch. We all had a lot of fun!
I am still spending some time with my friend Dorothee (pronounced Door-a-tay). We took our kids to the water park downtown again yesterday. Then we walked around downtown in the Pearl district a bit and looked at some art galleries and got some ice cream from Ben & Jerry's. We all had a blast as usual. She is leaving all too soon to go back home to Germany, I will miss her dearly. Maybe someday we will make it to Germany to visit her family.

Well as you can see in this picture of my living room (which I just mopped the hardwood floors) there is still much to do in the unpacking department, so I am beckoned back to grind away at making my home more livable. Blessings to you all.
