Time to move on

05/09/07 UPDATE: Jonny got the position at the Portland Hilti center and will be moving all our belongings the 1st or 2nd weekend of June. We are very happy!

The time has come for my family to start the next chapter in our lives. My dear husband will be driving our 2 kids and I to OR this weekend to live with my folks for a couple weeks. He will be driving back to CA next Monday and waiting for Hilti.

He had his interview with the Portland area Hilti people yesterday. It went very well. We are supposed to hear back by this Friday if they will hire him. This has been a long and frustrating process and I look forward to it being over.

In the meantime, while Jonny is in CA waiting out his time, I will be finding our family a home to rent in the Portland area. That way when Jonny drives up with all our belongings we will have somewhere to put it all. :-) We are hoping this will only take 2-3 weeks so we don't have to be without him for too long.

I am excited to start this next chapter but also very nervous and anxious. It will be strange but nice to be our own family of four now. It has been such a big transition to going from one child to take care of to two of them, but I think this particular transition will be very hard on Josiah. He has gotten so used to having his 2 cousins around all the time now; he is going to miss having them to play with sooo much! He keeps trying to play with baby Jacob and just doesn't understand why he won't hold the car or look at him while he does a silly dance for him. He will all too soon but not soon enough for Josiah, but for mommy, I'm just enjoying holding my sleeping infant even though I have to type with one hand all the time now. :-)
