Sometimes I wonder where does the time go, but my days are so crammed with so many little things, and lots of big things, that the days just keep slipping away.
Mainly what fills my days are schoolwork with Josiah, handwriting practice, math flash cards, and easy readers practice, then there are trips to the park and other places to keep their minds fresh and their immense energy under control.
Currently we are in the process of moving. In fact, we will be moving this Saturday, June 5th. I'm not super excited about this move but I know it's a necessary one. We also took on a new position, Apartment Management. Hence, this explains our move. We knew that I needed to work or we needed extra income somehow and when this came to our attention, we felt God leading and went down the path. Long story short, we took over management of a small 41 unit apartment complex in SW Portland. This will be a team effort for Jonny and I. I will take care of the office stuff, which is actually located in our apartment, and Jonny will take care of maintenance and all those kinds of issues. This will be much better our monthly budget in the long run and we look forward to seeing how this all works our families in our future.
One great thing about this, is that I can work and stay at home and that is exactly what I needed. I am so grateful for that answered prayer!
The boys are excited to move. They found some other boys at the complex to play with. And there is a very large park close by that they look forward to checking out soon. Plus we will live closer to the zoo, and they are really excited about that as well! Eventually, we told them that we will be getting them bunk-beds and I have a feeling that Jacob is most excited about that, as that means he will have a big boy bed now!
A fun moment that I caught them in today as I packed in another room...
I heard Jacob tell Josiah "We're best friends, Siah. I love you!" I peeked around the corner to see them hugging each other tight! Not the play hug tight, I'm gonna squish you, kind of thing, but the I truly like you kind of hug. Ahhhh... it melts a mother's heart! I love those boys and feel incredibly blessed to be their momma!
Be blessed and thanks for sticking in with me on my not very often updated blog. :-)
